Privacy policy
Effective September 25, 2026. This policy covers the Seer apps for iPhone and Android and the website seersystems.ai. Seer Systems Inc. (“we”) runs Seer and is responsible for the data described here.
What we collect
About you
- Your Discord account basics. When you sign in with Discord we receive your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar and the list of servers you are in (the
identifyandguildsscopes). We never see your Discord password, and those scopes cannot read your messages or DMs or post as you. - A Discord sign-in token, encrypted. So the list of your servers can stay current without asking you to sign in again. It carries the same two scopes and nothing more.
- Your alerts. The servers, channels and keywords you choose, and each alert's settings (sound, quiet hours, what a tap opens).
- Your roles in servers you use with Seer. Read by the Seer bot so that you only get alerts from channels Discord itself lets you read.
- Your phone's push token, time zone and notification setting. The token Apple or Google issues so we can deliver alerts, your time zone so quiet hours work, and whether Seer's notifications are switched on so History can tell you when an alert could not be shown.
About the messages you are alerted to
The Seer bot is added to a server by its owner or an admin and can only read. Each message in a channel someone chose is checked against their keywords. Messages that match nothing are not stored. For a message that matches, we keep:
- a preview of up to 180 characters,
- the display name of its author,
- the keyword that matched and the first web link in the message,
- a link to the message in Discord.
This is shown only to the person whose alert it matched, in their History. The authors of these messages may not use Seer themselves; what we keep about them is the display name shown next to their message in the server.
What we don't do
We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, use it to train models, or use it for anything but delivering the alerts you set up. There is no advertising or analytics tracking in the apps or on this site.

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Discord sign-in tokens are also encrypted at rest.
How long we keep it
- Alert history: 90 days, then deleted automatically — sooner if the author deletes the message in Discord.
- Your account, alerts and settings: until you delete your account.
- App sessions: 30 days; signing out ends the session and stops alerts to that phone at once.
- Backups: nightly database backups are kept up to 5 weeks, then overwritten. Deleted data disappears from them when they are.
- Website logs: our web server keeps IP addresses and requested pages for security for up to a few weeks.
Deleting your account
In the app: open Settings and tap Delete account at the bottom. This removes your account, alerts, alert history, server access and your phone's push token. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Without the app: delete your account on the web — you sign in with Discord to prove it is yours, then confirm.
If neither works for you, email info@seersystems.ai with your Discord user ID. We will ask you to confirm from the Discord account itself before deleting anything, and delete within 30 days of confirmation.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, receive a copy, or have it deleted, by writing to info@seersystems.ai. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. If you wrote a message someone was alerted to and want it removed from Seer, delete it in Discord or write to us.
Children
Seer is for people 13 and older — the same minimum as Discord, or higher where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
This website
seersystems.ai uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party content; its fonts are served from our own server. The only data it handles is the server log mentioned above, and, on the account deletion page, the Discord sign-in used to prove the account is yours.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that affects how your data is used will also be announced in the app before it takes effect.
